PHILLIP ISLAND - PENGUIN PARADE & KOALA CONSERVATION TOUR & WARROOK FARM EXPERIENCE (PI) - 11 hrs

The Warrook Cattle Farm Experience will be fun where you can hand-feed kangaroos and wombats, wild ducks and possums, enjoy a hayride around the farm, see a cattle working dog do its job and a demonstration of sheep shearing and wool classing, and take part in stockwhip cracking.

We visit the Koala Conservation Centre to catch sight of koalas in their natural habitat and then go on to see one of Victoria’s leading tourist destination and Australia’s most popular natural wild life attraction – The Penguin Parade – the world’s smallest penguins.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Travel on the Monash Freeway through Cranbourne (a well established dairy centre) on to the South Gippsland Highway through the townships of Tooradin (a small picturesque holiday township), Koo-wee-rup (well known for its potato festival held each year in March).

Get a view of French Island located in the Centre of Western Port Bay.

Drive through the small fishing village of San Remo and cross over the San Remo Bridge to Phillip Island.

Observe the protected population of Phillip Island koalas at the Koala Conservation Centre – these cute looking button-nosed marsupials can be seen in their natural habitat. Catch a glimpse of koala joeys (baby koalas) as they take their first adventures out of the mother’s pouch, learning to climb, find food and meet each other. Stroll amongst the eucalyptus trees and come face to face with our Australian native koalas.

View the spectacular scenery at The Nobbies and get a telescopic sight of fur seals basking at Seal Rocks. Take a stroll along the boardwalks to see breeding colonies of sea gulls and view the thunderous blowhole.

Marvel at Australia’s most popular wildlife event at Summerland Beach in Phillip Island. Every day at dusk, a parade of the world’s smallest penguins, the Little Penguins, emerge from the sea, gather in small groups at the water’s edge and then waddle their way across the beach to their sand dune burrows. An age old ritual that has captured the hearts and imaginations of visitors the world over.

  • Please note that photography is not permitted at the Penguin Parade.
  • Please bring warm waterproof clothing as nights can be cold on the island in any season.
  • Please wear good walking shoes.
